Rick & Nancy's Newmar Mountain Aire RV

Our Newmar Motor Home is for sale.  We purchased this unit new and it has been a very reliable coach.  If you are interested and need additional details please email me at Helloroad@hotmail.com

The Newmar carries an extended warranty that will not expire until March 2014.   I have the paper work and will bear the cost of transferring this warranty to the new owner.   This warranty is administered by the Interstate National Dealer Services and we have their Diamond Service Policy which is their top of the line.  INDS has been rated as one of the Top 200 Small Companies for three years running.   For additional information please visit www.INDS.Com.

The Ford F250 tow vehicle is also available as part of the package. and carries the Ford factory warranty until May 2012.   The first image is a video we made of the Newmar.   There are over 50 additional pictures highlighting the Newmar Mountain Aire and the Ford F250.  Just click on the pictures and they will become normal size.  Esc to get back to blog.  The F250 is not available separately.

The links to the trips are listed on the right side and the blogs are
listed under External Links on the left side.

This is the view of the Newmar from our front porch.
Luckily we can store this unit, between trips, on
our property.

The Bay under the drivers seat holds the electronics. Fuses,
relays, Smart Wheel Decoder and the control for the
HWH front shell extender.  This is one of three
electrical housings in the coach.  If needed we have a
complete set of fuses and relays in case we have any
trouble on the road. So far have not used them.

The Cummins ISM 450HP 1550 Lbs of Torque motor
is one powerful engine.   It will run on all types
of diesel fuel. So if you want to go to Alaska, Mexico,
or any Bio Fuel area this motor will perform.   No after
engine devices needed for this baby

The Sun is setting and this RV wants to hit the road. The
bays have Pull Out Storage Trays

The Diamond Shield is brand new. The original Diamond
Shield did not meet Newmars Specifications, so they
pulled the old off, repainted the front shell and installed
a new Diamond Shield. Looks great doesn't it.

That is not a lot of weird colors on the coach, just a
reflection from the ground area.  This gel coat really
shines on this Newmar

The Awnings are remote controlled as well as manual.
The Patio awning is automatic in retraction, but you
can bypass that feature if you like.  The outside
HD TV and Audio System is located in the bay
in front of the rear wheel.  The King Dome
In Motion Satellite is located just behind the horns

The passenger side mirror had a small vibration when new.
The Newmar Technicians re-enforced the mounts and
the mirrors are vibration free.

A tight view of the passenger side.   Hard to see
here but the door is pretty wide. Easy in and out. The Onan
10KW Generator is located in the front and includes
a Remote Control System.  A energy management
system is also included

This is the view we see from our front porch during
happy hour. Full Color Side View Cameras
Makes changing lanes a breeze

This is a new roof. The original roof had gel cracks on
the roof radius. Does not hurt functionality, but
Newmar said it did not meet specifications and
replaced with a new roof Sept 2010.  Notice
the non skid path walkway.  A little safety factor
if you go on the roof.

This is the Spartan Motors RV service lot in Charlotte MI.
Each year our unit is serviced by trained Spartan Techs.
Oct 17 2011  we got the full treatment. Everything was
serviced.  Cooling System ELC replaced,
Transmission Fluid and Filters Replaced. Engine Oil
and Filter, Air Cleaners etc all replaced.  Chassis went
through Spartan 44 point inspection.  Chassis lubed and
serviced including Differential fluid changed.  We are
ready for the road.

This is the Newmar High Line Service center in
Nappanee IN.  We have an appointment on Nov 1 2011
to have our Front AC replaced.  It failed during our
last RV trip to WI and MN.  The Mountain Aire
will also go through a Newmar inspection.  This
company is good and their technicians are excellent.

Once you have a Power Cable Winder you will
wonder how you ever got along without one. Makes
connecting power a breeze.

The water hose reel is pretty slick.  Takes no time
to hook up to a campground system.  There is a full
filter system with this coach. There are 2 Five Micron
filters, A Soft Cell Water Softener, then a 1 Micron
Whole House Filter, then a Hydro Life Bacteria
Filter.  There is another Camco filter prior to the
drinking water faucet and refrigerator ice maker.
Good water gets to this coach.  For additional
information on the Softener

This is the Hydro Hot 2 Motor Coach heating system. This
model has the Beckett Burner, which is made in Ohio.
Some call this the Canadian Version of the Hydro Hot but
whatever they call it, the unit makes heat and hot water
until you shut it off.  Pretty slick operation.  This
is serviced annually by Hydro Hot Factory Technicians.

You don't want to leave home without this TRC Surge
Guard.   The Newmar Power System is fully
protected from campground issues.  If the campground
power is not correct in any way the unit will not turn
on.  Better safe than sorry.  Great box. For
additional information go to www.trci.net/Products

Independent Front Suspension and Control Drive Steering
make this Newmar smooth as a baby's back side.  I just
had this unit front aligned Sept 2011.  No car
drives as smooth as this Mountain Aire

The front entrance alarm and entry keypad is the latest
and greatest from Essex Electronics.  It was installed
March 2011.   This unit also has 2 remote controls
and a improved code system over the original.

The Ford F250 is a heavy vehicle so we use a Brake Buddy
auxiliary system.  In most states it is a law to have
an approved auxiliary system.  This unit is reliable.
and very easy to install in the Ford.  The Brake
Buddy has its own direct connection to the battery.
The Ford has a battery disconnect switch installed  to
eliminate the vehicle electronics from running down the
battery.  Nice operation and very reliable.

The Blue Ox tow bar and chains are rated at
10,000 lbs.   The Newmar hitch is rated at
15,000 Lbs.  The Ford is about 6500 lbs. Lots
of safety factors in this system.

When the Blue Ox is not in use, we keep it covered

You can never have to many refrigerator/freezers when
on the road.  This unit sits in a bay behind the
passengers side front wheel. Notice it resides
on a pull out tray. Easy load and unload. Runs
on AC or 12 Volts from the Battery.

If you ever had to go out in bad weather to unlock
your bay doors you will appreciate this feature.
Just push the button an unlock all the doors.

Ever worry about leaving your bay lights on. No worry
with this Newmar.  This is the main light switch for
each bay. When the door is shut the lights go out.

Very comfortable in this cockpit. Easy access to built
in Navtec Computer GPS System, Smart Wheel and all
gauges are easy to see. The Smart Wheel
has the Lights, Cruise and Wiper Controls

To the left of the Drivers Seat is the Allison and HWH
main controls.  Also located here is the 2 stage
exhaust brake, tag axle control, drivers side
window and the outside mirror heater.  Plus
your coffee cup holder. Newmar thought of everything.

Master Bedroom and Cabinets

Master Bedroom. The cabinets above hold a lot of
clothes etc.

The Bedroom Drawers are roomy and solid.   During our
ownership not one failure.  Unlike other RV's we
have owned

The Bedroom TV slides out of the way when
not being used. Notice the Black Button in the bottom
center of the TV. This is the remote control center. From
here you can change any device in your entertainment
system, including the satellite.  All TV's in this unit
have this feature.  Pretty slick operation. Don't
even have to get out of bed.

The Two Doors on the left is more storage and lots of
it.  The louvered doors on the right is where the
Spendide washer/dryer is located.

Nice view from the Bedroom Window. Notice how neat
the TV is placed in the cabinet area. The Cabinets
are Coastal Cherry Hardwood

This is the middle bath area.

This is the second sink area. Also located
in this room is the main power panel
and fuses. Convenient to access.
The commode is top of the line battery
operated.  Works pretty slick

There is a lot of storage for personal items behind the
mirrors.

This is the shower area.  The shower is big and has a
sliding curved door. Easy to clean

Leather Couch that makes into a bed.  Has a Air
Mattress and adjacent pump.  The buffet table area
houses a area for the computer as well as pull
out drawers for file storage. This Combo
Desk/Dinette System is really functional.

A view of the Drivers Side from the Kitchen Area

The dinette has two table extensions.  With those
in you can seat 4 people.  Two fancy chairs also
are included. Those two chairs we leave at home
as we never did use them.

The Polished Porcelain Floor in Living room and Bath areas
is another Newmar option. Pretty nice and easy to clean.

A view through the windshield from the kitchen area

The passenger side of the coach

This is another option. The GE Speedcook
Advantium Oven.  It is also a Microwave.   Nancy
has baked turkeys in this stove.

This is the sink area. Also included in this Newmar
is a Soft Cell System.  There is also a 1 Micron
whole house filter for this Mountain Aire.  In
addition the drinking water and the ice cube maker
have another filter.  Nothing but good pure
water for this coach.

This is the main TV in the center of the coach.  Notice
the little black button.  Change anything in your
entertainment system from the easy chair.  The Tivo
satellite receiver is not included.  The King Dome has
two satellite feeds so you can connect your DDR and record
2 channels at the same time and play back a previously
recorded program.  Not many coaches have two
satellite feeds.

This is the Ford F250 4WD tow vehicle.  Easy on
gas and fun to drive.

Another view of the kitchen area. The final
water filter for the drinking water is located
under the sink

This Ford is equipped with a  5 Speed Auto Transmission
and oversize tires and wheels.  Includes Ford's
Chrome Running Boards

Never had one on, but this Ford is equipped with
a front suspension that is built for a snow plow.
This is a very rugged truck

The F250 also has the Chrome package and remote
controlled towing mirrors. Lots of options on this
unit.

It is ready to hit the road. The 8 foot bed never has to
be made, and is sealed with LineX,  Also included is
a Weatherguard Toolbox.  The tool box sets below
the stainless steel rails.  Nice looking vehicle.

We have seen a lot of pretty things from this RV, but
we surely enjoyed seeing this Bald Eagle.

It looks great in a campground. The Newmar is ready for
the road.  Thanks again for looking at our blog of the
Newmar

Have a great week

Rick & Nancy
